Our dedicated Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance personnel ensure that clients' products are manufactured in accordance with the established regulatory requirements (i.e. GMPs, HACCP).
They assist in the international transportation process related to efficient export and import of products.
POS Bio-Sciences quality management system capabilities includes:
- certification by SGS for compliance to the ISO 9001:2008 standard
- site license provided by Health Canada for manufacture of Natural Health Products NHP
- establishment registration provided by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for the manufacturing of ready to eat fish and marine oil
- approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to export fish and marine oil product at POS Bio-Sciences
- compliant with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards as recommended for the food industry by Health Canada
- creation and implementation of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) plans
- Revenue Canada licensed, bonded manufacturer (process specific)
- GMP-trained pilot plant operating staff
- development of sanitation validation programs
- on-site microbiological monitoring capabilities
- on-site consulting and evaluations of existing GMP procedures
- on-going monitoring of environmental issues
- liaison with Customs, Excise and other relevant regulatory agencies
- on-going development of all quality systems
