Robert Morgan

Since joining POS Pilot Plant as President and CEO in 1999, Mr. Morgan has successfully led POS to its current position of solid growth and sound financial management.  "POS has reached over 3 decades of operation," states Mr. Morgan.  "We are initiating new endeavours and building on our strategies for growth so that clients can continue accessing innovative solutions." Mr. Morgan is the Chair of the National Research Council's Biotechnology Advisory Committee, and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Food Product Development Centre.  He also serves as a member of the Agricultural Council of Saskatchewan, and holds membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.

   

Paul Fedec

As Vice President, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, Dr. Fedec oversees scientific and technical services, including project management, staff and systems, product analysis and quality control, and new business development. Dr. Fedec's activities in value-added process development have included enhancing procedures for utilization of cereals and other grains, legumes and other plant materials. Dr. Fedec holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant biochemistry (Botany) and has published nearly 30 papers and 3 book chapters. He is active in many professional organizations, including American Society for Quality, Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, and the American Association of Cereal Chemists.

Heather Ryan

As the Director of Business Development and Human Resources, Ms. Ryan is responsible for the marketing, pricing, and client contract strategies as well as the development and implementation of the human resources programs at POS.   Ms. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation from the Canadian Council of Human Resources Association.   She is a member of World at Work, and the Saskatchewan Human Resources Association.  Prior to joining POS in 2002 Ms. Ryan gained valuable experience serving as HR Specialist with an international telecommunications organization, and HR Officer with a western Canadian cooperative enterprise.

Rick Green

Dr. Rick Green joined POS Pilot Plant in 1989. As Director of Technology, his responsibilities include project management, administration, supervision of staff and technical support to departments throughout the organization. Prior to becoming Director of Technology in the fall of 2007, Dr. Green was Senior Scientist at POS. He continues to develop lab and pilot–scale processes for extraction and purification of proteins, oils and starches and secondary plant metabolites such as polyphenols. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Microbiology and Food Science from the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in phenolic antioxidants. Dr. Green is a member of the Institute of Food Technology, and the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology.

Mr. Green joined POS in 2009. He is responsible for all financial matters of the organization. Mr. Green brings to POS extensive experience in all areas of accounting and finance as well as CFO experience with public companies having international operations in the resource and technology sector. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Chartered Accountants.
