The standard of POS Bio-Sciences' performance within the AOCS LPP is the primary criteria in the award of "Approved Chemist" status in each catgegory. A POS Scientist holds Approved Chemist status in all categories in which it participates.

POS Bio-Sciences offers you over 30 years of experience in analytical and laboratory services for processing R&D, scale-up from laboratory to commercial scale, and analyses.
Our 11 labs play a key role in your total integrated services package, with specialized capabilities in fats and oils, proteins, cereals and starches, food processing, food product development, nutraceuticals, purification and isolation.
Over 150 routine methods and 30 routine processes are applied. Real-time analytical support for client projects is provided, and arrangements can be made for around-the-clock analysis.
Primary Analytical Capabilities:
- analysis on multiple matrix types (seeds, oils, meals and processing materials), utilizing accepted methodologies from AOCS, AOAC, ISO, IUPAC, ASTM, AACC and internally developed methods
- analysis quality is monitored both internally and through a variety of national and international test programs.
Areas of analysis covered include:
- moisture, oil content, fat composition, fat quality, antioxidants, proteins, sugars and elemental, fire and other analyses
- other services available include method development, nutritional labeling analysis, damaged oil studies and oil preservation studies.
