Benefits of Membership
Benefits:
Membership in POS is a valuable way to participate in
a unique bioprocessing research concept. Membership is open to most
organizations, with benefits differing depending upon the class
of membership obtained.
Classes of Membership
1. Industrial
Open to all companies with an active and direct interest in bioprocessing
technologies.
Benefits:
- Preferred rate of 20% off research work up to maximum savings
of twice the membership fee.
- Preferred access to the pilot plant.
- Ability to participate at POS's Annual General Meeting as a
voting member.
- Ability to select a candidate for election to POS's Board
of Directors or committee of the Board.
- Receipt of the POS Inside Report and other publications
exclusively for member companies.
- Posting of corporate web page link and corporate summary on
POS's web site.
- Framed certificate identifying the organization as an industrial
member of POS.
The annual membership fee is:

2. Federal Membership
The Government of Canada, which has funded POS activities to a
considerable extent, is a Member of the Corporation and has the
right to Board representation. Benefits are extended to all departments
of the Federal Government.
3. Provincial Membership
Open to all provincial governments of Canada.
Benefits:
- Preferred rate for research work by provincial agencies and
corporations located within the province.
- Ability to participate at POS's Annual General Meeting as a
voting member.
- Ability to select one provincial representative to stand on
POS's Board of Directors.
- Receipt of the POS Inside Report and other publications
exclusively for member companies.
- Posting of web page link and summary on POS's web site.
The annual membership fee is $25,000.
4. Associate Membership
For organizations or companies that have an interest in POS's activities,
but that are unlikely to make use of POS's services, Associate membership
expresses support of the bioprocessing industry and the importance
of POS's role.
Benefits:
- Visible support of POS and the bioprocessing industry.
- Ability to participate at POS's Annual General Meeting
as a non-voting member.
- Receipt of the POS Inside Report or other publications
and information which POS sends to member companies.
- Posting of corporate web page link and corporate summary on
POS's web site.
- Certificate identifying the organization as a
member of POS.
The annual membership fee is $500.
